About the Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique teaches you how to move with freedom and poise. It helps you to carry out activities with less stress and tension.

Back and Neck pain

The Alexander Technique has been shown to reduce back pain by an average of 86% in a major study published in the British Medical Journal.

A further study in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that people who had on average, 14 lessons in the Alexander Technique had a 31 % reduction in neck pain and associated disability compared to the group with standard GP care.

Workplace Health

Back pain is one of the biggest causes of long term disability and employees being unable to work. We offer bespoke courses and advice on how businesses can help their employees avoid injuries when lifting objects and reduce the problems associated with computer and phones use.

Clinical trials have shown the effectiveness of the Alexander Technique in reducing back and neck pain. We also offer advice for employees working from home or those struggling with repetitive strain injuries.

Businesses are increasingly at risk of litigation and claims for compensation if staff are not properly trained and protected while in the work place. We offer bespoke training courses to help businesses protect their employees. We can also support staff who are suffering with back and neck pain which is linked to computer use, sitting at desks or lifting heavy objects.
